It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Graham Walton, a faithful member of the Mimico Baptist Church choir. Graham was born on December 13, 1954, and passed away on July 25, 2026.
Although we knew only a portion of Graham’s story, we were grateful to share in the final years of his journey. Before coming to Mimico Baptist approximately three years ago, Graham lived in Nova Scotia, Vancouver, Toronto, and for a time in England.
While Graham spoke little about his professional life, he often shared his love for music and his involvement in church choirs throughout Etobicoke. Singing was one of his greatest joys, and he enthusiastically lent his voice to the traditional hymns he cherished.
Many of us also came to appreciate Graham’s remarkable artistic talent. His distinctive cityscape paintings captured the energy, character, and colour of urban life in a unique and memorable way.
In the last few months, Graham faced a series of health challenges that led to multiple hospital stays.
Most importantly, Graham professed faith in Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the age of thirteen. Today, we take comfort in the assurance that he is with the Lord he loved, trusted, worshipped, and sang about throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life for Graham Walton will be held at Mimico Baptist Church on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., following the conclusion of our 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Please continue to remember Graham’s family and friends in your prayers as they grieve his loss and give thanks for his life.
