With spring moving into full bloom, there is a lot happening at Mimico Baptist. Different staff will be away for vacations and other commitments. Our weekly ministries continue striving forward.
Our CBOQ (Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec) Assembly next month will focus on the theme “And then they prayed”. Although we have a lot going on, what is central to our faith is prayer.
Prayer is more than just sharing with God what is on our mind; it is also pausing to hear His voice (you can revisit what Pastor David shared in his April 26 sermon).
We will do that together, whether in our 10:30 am service in the second half of May or individually and in small groups. I believe God has some words to say to us especially about our direction forward … if we pray and if we listen.
Join us as we aim to hear God’s voice this month together.

Board Update – April 2026
The board is combining the April and May meetings into 1 meeting on May 12.
Finance: As of March 31, we are in a deficit position of $18,300 and expenses have been lower compared to last year’s 1st quarter. Our income is approx. 40% lower compared with previous years.
Making Our Outdoor Space Inviting
For those of you who like making outdoor spaces inviting (you don’t need to be an expert), we invite you to share your time and skills in keeping our space beautiful (e.g. yard clean-up, caring for our summer garden bed, etc.).
