The resurrection of Jesus is the most discussed, debated, researched and documented even in ancient history. It’s just too important not to be. If it didn’t happen, we as Christ-followers are the to be pitied more than any other faith. If it did happen — in time and geography and physical reality — then how we respond to that is the most important question we can answer. We will consider — for the first time, or once again — the resurrection and we’ll invite you to respond to it.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Where do you go for re-assurance when you are faced with deep doubt and discouragement?
- Some people say that Jesus rose from the dead in a spiritual sense only; so we have a model, a nostalgic and “spiritual” motivator for our ethical and moral behaviour. Is this satisfying to you?
- If someone asked you why you believe in Easter, in the Resurrection of Jesus, what would you say?
