This Sunday we share two (almost) opposite moments: remembering and preparing. As we know, November 11 is Remembrance Day; the day to honour our country’s veterans. We remember especially those who lost their lives fighting against tyranny and injustice in wars of years gone by. 

Yet, we prepare for Advent season. I will invite you to consider who needs the peace that Jesus brings. Who is waiting for Hope, Peace, Joy and Love — all found in Jesus. Who can we invite? Who can we engage with? Who can we share a meal and a message with? This advent: What are We Waiting For?
